My Alterna-Wedding

Do you remember that episode of Dawson's Creek where they had that Alterna-Prom and Jack brought a guy and Pacey loved Joey, but then Dawson kissed Joey and ruined everything? Man those were the days....I miss that angst-y show. And if you don't remember it, you missed out on a great show. Go watch it immediately! :)

If the kids in Dawson's Creek can have an Alterna-Prom, then I can have an Alterna-Wedding (in my head at least). When I was little I always daydreamed about my wedding. In this daydream I was always barefoot on a beach somewhere with all my closest friends and family, waves crashing in the distance, a big bonfire going, seashell decor, the works!

Well, I live in Texas and the only coast is on the gulf and we all know the state of the gulf right now. Tar balls were not in my daydream. And I guess we could go somewhere tropical and get married on a beach, but destination weddings limit the amount of people that can come and I want as many people that I love there as possible.

So we're not getting married on a beach and that's totally OK. But... if we did, here are some of the details I'd include:
