Pre-Wedding Chop: A Contemplation

That's right, I said PRE, not POST. That means before the wedding. You probably think I'm crazy but let me rewind a minute.

I always thought I'd be a long-haired bride. I've been growing my hair out since last August and it's a couple inches past my shoulders now. (You see I'm a Gemini and have to constantly change the length of my hair.)

I've been trying to find hair inspiration pictures for long hair and just can't seem to find any that I love. I want a retro up-do to go with the feel of my dress and jewelry but nothing's right.

Lately I've been thinking about chopping my locks off.

Haha, not that short. Gotcha! I don't have the guts to go that short. I'm thinking more like this.
I've had my hair short before and my mister actually likes my hair better short so it's definitely a possibility. If girls can add extensions to their hair on their wedding, why can't I take some length off mine? Check out some of my short-hair inspiration photos.

What do ya'll think? Should I just say "screw the long hair, I'm going short" or should I stick with the long hair so that I have more options? Would ya'll ever cut your hair before the wedding?

  1. I have been struggling with this too, especially with more and more short-hair brides being featured out there. I am trying to wait until the last possible minute to decide.

  2. I recently cut mine SUPER short and I couldn't be happier!! I think you should wear your hair the way you feel most your! I was going through this "thing" that my hair should be long, so I started letting it grow. I tried on veils and I hated them ALL! I finally just said the heck with it.. I'm cutting it. If I find that I hate it, I will just get extensions. I went back to try on my dress and veil with my short hair nad I loved it! Here's my blog post on the exact same topic, lol http://discoveringhair.com/blog/2010/06/05/i-will-be-wearing-my-hair-thank-you-very-much/
