100 Days to Go!!!

Yay! I've been waiting to get to the 100 day mark for over 400 days! You know what this means now? I can finally start looking at TheKnot's 100-Day Countdown Calendar that I bought, oh I don't know, 300 days ago!

OK, in all seriousness, it is going to be exciting to look at that calendar every day from now until the wedding, but that's not really what I'm excited about. I am using my 100 days left as an excuse to really light a fire under my ass. Yes I still have a massive to-do list (it's all small stuff, at least), but I really need to get on this whole working out thing.

I know one of the first posts I ever wrote, way back in July 2009, was about my mister being able to carry me over the threshold. I don't know why it was so important to me then, but it's still important now. These next three months are go time for working out. I'm down ten pounds since I got engaged, but I want to push it for another ten if I can.

I showed my mom the 100 push-up challenge that's become popular in bride world months ago and my mom, sister and I all had plans to start it, but none of us did. (I know, we suck!) But now my mom's back to it and she's asked me and my sister to jump on board too.

I'm not actually going to do the push-up challenge (I hate push-ups), but there's also a 200 sit-up and 200 squat challenge, both of which I will be doing.

On top of that, I'm trying to do Zumba 4 days a week and a Crunch power yoga/pilates workout once a week.

I really hope I can keep up with it all and get some more pounds off because I've got to go in for my first fitting soon. I can't believe we're at 100 days!

Was the 100 day mark monumental for you? What did it mean for you?

  2. Good luck on your weight loss journey! Congrats on the 10 pounds! Have you thought about calorie control? I've lost 20 by cutting my calories to 1,500 a day and a similar exercise regime like the one you described. To be honest I haven't kept track of how many days out we are but I'm sure it's around 100 too!
