To Die For Photo Inspiration, Volume 1

This past weekend I started compiling my list of must-take photos for my photographer. I know it's a bit early, but you know me, "the early bird gets the worm"!

I'm going to break this post up in to three parts: before the ceremony, the ceremony and the reception and the little details. I've got high expectations and seeing as how my photographer is beyond awesome and talented, I have no doubt that he'll be able to take amazing shots on my wedding day!

So here we go! A look into my must-have pictures of my special day!

There's the obligatory dress shot. However, mine won't be on a steer head. Sorry to disappoint. Mine will be hanging on a hanger with my new surname on it.

I love seeing pictures of moms helping their daughters into their wedding dresses. A definite must. Plus my mom's just so cute and tiny, it'll be an adorable shot.

I love my shoes so much that I've gotta have some killer shoe shots. And I fully intend to make my sister strap my shoes on me... haha.

And of course this day isn't all about me (just kidding) so I'd love to have some groom getting ready shots. They'd just be too cute!

Are there any must have shots that you're dying your photographer captures of you while you're getting ready? Are you making a list, or just hoping you get killer pictures without a list?

Stay tuned, more photo inspiration to come!

  1. It doesn't hurt to provide a list, so I think I'll create one too. I think most of the photos you've mentioned so far are givens, but as I've seen from other bloggers, not every photographer gets them. Better to be safe than sorry!

  2. Yeah I decided to start my list off with basics and then move on the more unique stuff I will have going on at my wedding.

  3. I actually don't think we can afford to hire our photographer for our getting ready shots :( But it's great that you are compiling a list!
